A repaint of Carenado's C337 in the colours of the Portuguese Air Force. The actual aircraft used by the air arm were Reims-Cessna FTB337Gs, a miltary variant of the iconic push-pull Cessna built under licence by Reims Aviation of France and featuring STOL modifications and underwing hardpoints. A total of 32 examples were delivered from December 1974, flying initially from Air Base 2 at Ota with Esquadra 701 'Jakares' (Alligator) before transferring in 1994 to Montijo when the squadron was re-designated Esquadra 505. They remained in service until their withdrawal in July 2007.
This particular example, 13710, is now on display at the Museo do Ar, housed on the former Ovar Air Base south of Porto.
