This fictional scenery is for the low flying VFR adventurer and adds some more eyecandy stuff to the already beautiful Reunion island:
- moving historic sailships of different type and nations
- anchored sailships
- wooden shipwrecks of all kind
- carriers (WWII), provided the necessary addons are installed
This scenery contains no assets of its own, all assets are in the mandatory or recommended files.
MANDATORY/DEPENDENCIES (latest versions):
- Sailships 3D Model Library (SimObjects)
- Scilly sailships scenery (NO need to cascade down the addidtional libs recommended there)
RECOMMENDED
- airport FMEE Roland Garros
- airport FMEP St Pierre
- Reunion Megapack. A dozen helipads and a few airstrips. For fixed wings I especially recommend the small FMG8 Aerodrome de Cambaie, which you can install individually. The airport is very close to La Possession with the two principal ports of the island. One, Port Est, features a long display of sailships.
- Taburet's Reunion & Mayotte enhancement with 5m mesh. Makes a huge difference, especially to the picturesque valleys of the island! Payware, but certainly worth the small price, especially since his mesh enhancement also covers my Mayotte sailship addon. (No affiliation)
- Volcano Tree Fix (global) by Theoli4D. Lots of changes, look at his screenshot of Reunion!
- WWII Carrier USS Lexington by Miltech. With this payware installed you will easily spot the carrier on the open ocean across FMEE Gillot, St.Denis.
- WWII carrier CV8 Hornet. Further out in NE direction towards Mauritius). For this to see you'll must be lucky to have Superspud's Carrier Group addons Vol.1 & 2 - which currently are not available.
As always: To see wakes set Mean Ground Level wind layer to 5-10. That also helps a lot to make objects in water (like anchored ships) look a little more natural.
Many thanks to Mamu (https://www.youtube.com/@MSFS-SDK-TUTORIALS). His knowledge and toolbox made this addon possible.
Enjoy!
