Presenting the Horizon Simulations Boeing 787-9 in the classic bare metal livery of American Airlines as used from 1968-2013. The phasing out of the livery came in part due to the increasing use of composite materials in the production of modern airliners, as typified by the 787 itself with its revolutionary composite fuselage. This meant less and less bare metal to actually show off.
This livery is a fictional representation of what the 787-9 might have looked like had the classic bare metal look been possible to continue.
