This folder contains a repaint for the Spitfire Mk.IX by FlyingIron, in the colors of Spitfire IX MK475 H-28 of the Dutch Air Force, 1948-1950. This aircraft, built in 1944, flew with No.402 & No.65 Sqn during the war. In 1948 it was sold to the Dutch Air Force and was flown to Twente airfield in October 1948, becoming H-28 (this paint). It was involved in several incidents, including flying into the tailwheel of H-35. It was later painted silver and became 3W-14 with 322 squadron. In 1954 it went to Schreiner as PH-NFO, serving as a target tug (an earlier paint). It was destroyed in a crash in 1957 at Texel airfield. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom.
