BushTripInjector, the generator used to create MSFS World Update Bush Trips and DiscoveryFlights

BushTripInjector generates fully functional Bush Trips from LittleNavMap flight plans and DiscoveryFlights from scratch. No search for coordinates or heights for the runway or waypoints. All MSFS Airports, runways and parking positions are available to select. .
Briefing images as well as images of the runways for the NavLog or 3D images are generated of course. These are real graphics .
It's all GUI controlled and you don't have to worry about formatting. No XML or programming skills required.

Installation

Open the zip-file with the tool of your choice. Drag the BushTripInjector folder (containing the EXE file and the DLL) to a place of your choice. Please note that since several files are created, both Flightsimulator and BushTripInjector have rights to create, modify and delete files and folders in thefolder of your choice. So it must not be directly in the program directories ("Program Files" or "Pro

Make a backup of your current BushTripInjector-Folder and drag the files of the BushTripInjector Folder from the zip into your current installation path.

Registration and Activation

A Productkey is mandatory to use BushTripInjector. Use the in-app function to request your private product key. Please allow up to 24h for activation.

Unfortunately, you did not mention in the description that you need to register to use BTI and that you also need to have an email program installed on your computer.

I don't have one installed on my gaming computer and the registration routine doesn't specify a contact email address.

So I can not try BTI. 😞

You don't need an email program. They give you an option to create a txt file onto your desktop so that you can attach the txt file in an email on any browser of your choice. After a txt file has been created attach it to an email and send it to: [email protected]

You will get a reply back typically within minutes (but can take longer) with a license key.

HI BUFFY!!!!

I'm new at this as a disclaimer... I can´t make it work... I create the plan with littlenavmap then I open it with BTI and perform as indicated in the video, i click generat mission the process runs but as my MFS opens the black screen says... COULD NOT OPEN THE XML FILE and thats it... crashes

thank you very much for using BushTripInjector.

First of all it is not a crash, it just does not compile, but for the user this is virtually the same, it does not work 😊

There is currently a bug in MSFS and/or the SDK that does not allow spaces in folder names. A fix is hopefully included with the next MSFS SDK and Sim update (SU 10) from MS/ASOBOO. that will be released end of August or in the public beta soon.

To work around the issue, put your trips in folders whose entire structure does not contain spaces in the folder names.

The next BTI release will include a warning/notice when this issue may occur.

I apologize for not being able to address this in the last version.

I’d give it 10 stars if I could. This tool is so helpful and it greatly streamlines and simplifies the process of creating bush trips and other missions for MSFS.

If that wasn’t enough to convince you, the support from the developer, BuffyGC, is absolutely fantastic. Countless times I have asked questions, requested features, and reported bugs, and every time I got a response within hours (or minutes!).

If you’re looking to get into making bush trips for MSFS, this is the way (especially now that the script editor in the SDK is defunct).

Welcome back to the BushTrip community, sweet lady.

I think you have not read the changelogs of the BTI or used the BTI.

A better version has been included in BushTripInjector since last November. No need to go back to the main menu, the BTI solution supports the different states and defaults of the triggers in addition to all the cases when exiting a leg (with the known issues of the flight plan/GPS/VFR map and their workarounds).

Hi All - slight problem which may be because of Windows 11.

I just received my license key for BushTripInjector but could not enter it into the program as the entry box would not display.

~~I discovered that if I set BushTripInjector.exe to run in~~ ~~compatibility mode for Windows 8~~~~, I was then able to add my license number.~~

~~Once the serial number was added, the program loads just fine without compatibility mode.~~

PLEASE NOTE - BuffyCG just explained the the problem was my text scaling (set to 110%) so if you don't see the Product Key Field, just change your text scaling.

I'm wondering, because the reqeust window can only be run from the enter-key-window. Also I'm developing with Windows 11. Will investigate. Maybe I come back to you for more details, saw you are member on discord, so I will continue there.

Figured out the issue with OzzyKym together. Needs a small adjustment to respect user-defined text scale in next version.

If you encounter the issue, please switch to a preset text scaling for a moment. Apologies for circumstances and thanks again for reporting and having the time to investigate this issue together..

ATTENTION:

There is an issue with IngameMarkers. If you use them, no progress for bush trips is saved and the users cannot continue the trip after leaving.

This is currently unter investigation by MS.

Because I got many questions:

The "Console" Patch/Workaround stated in DevSupport Forum (https://devsupport.flightsimulator.com/articles/3288/fspackagetool-workaround-to-display-debug-console.html) is no longer necessary with BTI in following combinations:

SU7, Store/DVD/Beta Version without SDK: BTI 0.10.8.2016 or higher

SU7 Store/DVD/Beta Version with SDK16: working with all BTI versions

SU7 Store/DVD/Beta Version with SDK15 or less: Upgrade to SDK 16

SU7 Steam: Should be the same as Store, but too less data.

It is a control from MS to use web technologies in native apps. I switched from DOT.NET integrated IE components to WebView2 in July 2021.

1.3.3.2999 - FPS BOOST
BushTripInjector analyzes and optimizes your triggers. This will increase the performance within the simulator by 100% or more for large missions with more than 100 triggers. For now only available for TTS selected and created in the flight plan. The implementation for TTS from the WorldMap and the E&T trigger is already planned.
To enable this feature, experimental features must be enabled in the options. BTI automatically analyzes and optimizes the mission during generation. Since these are experimental features, bugs and errors may occur. Please report working and not working missions.

FEATURE: Debug-Mode: When Debug Mode is enabled in Options sheet, BushTripInjector adds several TTS to FlowState, Timeline and automatically generated triggers.
FEATURE: Drag'n'Drop: Drop SPB files or ZIP files containing SPB files into BTI Mainwindow to decompile the SPB and display the xml file.
USER-REQ: BushTripInjector.de: Consider the system settings regarding DarkMode/LightMode of the user.

BUGFIX: New missions: Fixed an issue where when creating new missions, the active flightsim.to add-ons of the current mission were not cleaned up and thus used in the new mission.
BUGFIX: New missions: Fixed an issue that when creating new missions, notifications were not given to the GUI when changing values in E&T.

UPDATE: Event&Triggers/TTS: Added a warning message when the trip contains 10 or more areas with AltitudeIsAGL which leads to a massive FPS drop in your mission.
UPDATE: Compiler: Added information message to check spaces in files and directories due to an error in MSFS/FSPackager when compilation fails.

- Command line is prioritized, so you can use them in combination. Environment variables are prioritized in order "Process", "User", "Machine"

Folders: New default location for several BushTripInjector files and folders for new installations. Existing installations will use after the update the same folders as before. You can change then in Options.

UPDATE: File format: When a LittleNavMap file is opened that has not yet been opened in BushTripInjector, this is automatically saved as a BTI file and no longer in the different SAVES files.

Can you include a feature to set the parking brake?

I have already implemented. However, this does not work because the sim automatically releases the parking brake when spawning, for whatever reason. You can check this with the integrated SimWatcher via the window menu.
Actually the feature is to release the parking brake because by default the parking brake is set. Compare the apron.flt and runway.flt of your selected aircraft.

My sound files are no longer playing once I exit and restart the bushtrip!

This is a bug in the simulator. Up to version 1.12.13 this worked without problems, since then not anymore.

Can you include output from sound files in the Events&Triggers editor as well?

This is also already programmed, but currently deactivated. The reason is that no sound files are played since sim version 1.12.13 when a bus trip was left or the sim was closed.

Bug fixes and enhancements I usually implement for the next version, if they are possible and make sense. But that also depends on the effort.

Can I set the time for each leg individually when creating the BushTrip?

Unfortunately, this is not possible. The simulator has no way to define this per leg.

The ticket with the feature request has already been created for a long time. As soon as there is a solution, I will implement it in the BushTripInjector of course.

Can I set a different weather for each leg?

Unfortunately, this is also not possible to pass to the simulator when defining a Bush Trip.
As with the times, a feature request has been made to Microsoft. As soon as the possibility is created, I will adapt the BushTripInjector accordingly.
