This mod gives you alternative payload configuration for the Indiafoxtecho F-35 Lightning II aircraft. This mod doesn't modify the base performance and general specification of the aircraft. This mod only modifies the default Weight Payload that is loaded when the aircraft is selected in the Free Flight selection.
The purpose of this mod is to give you the weapons payload by default, so that you can just choose the aircraft and start your flight straightaway with full weapons loadout. That way, you don't have to manually enter the pay load for each station one by one everytime you start a new flight. This mod also changes the Station # labels into their actual weapons name.
Dislaimer: If you purchased the Indiafoxtecho F-35 Lightning II from the MSFS Marketplace, this mod won't work. This is because Marketplace prohibits the distribution of military weapons as a content. So the developer have intentionally omits them from their releases via the Marketplace. This mod only works for the addon distributed through other stores and other channels apart from the MSFS Marketplace.
This mod gives you the following specifications for all F-35A, F-35B, and F-35C variants for in order of their stations:
- Pilot = 91 kg / 200 lb
- AIM-9X SIDEWINDER = 91 kg / 200 lb
- GBU-12 laser guided bomb = 249 kg / 550 lb
- GBU-31 GPS guided bomb = 907 kg / 2000 lb
- GBU-12 laser guided bomb = 249 kg / 550 lb (B variant)
- GBU-31 GPS guided bomb = 907 kg / 2000 lb (A and C variant)
- AIM-120 AMRAAM = 159 kg / 350 lb
- centerline gunpod = 249 kg / 550 lb
- AIM-120 AMRAAM = 159 kg / 350 lb
- GBU-31 GPS guided bomb = 907 kg / 2000 lb (A and C variant)
- GBU-12 laser guided bomb = 249 kg / 550 lb (B variant)
- GBU-31 GPS guided bomb = 907 kg / 2000 lb
- GBU-12 laser guided bomb = 249 kg / 550 lb
- AIM-9X SIDEWINDER = 91 kg / 200 lb

I discovered that you also changed the aerodynamics and performance of the aircraft. Will you update to the latest Indiafoxecho's revision ?
Yeah, everytime they update any performance data. This mod requires update. But I don't have the time to do this for now. So I'm not sure when I'll make an update. For now just remove the mod. (or you can edit it yourself). Copy the weight loadout and paste it in the new F-35 file.

hello how did you make this weapons payload i have tried looking at you files to figure out how you did it but cant get it to work on other jets in the game
1 years ago
Because the weapon model themselves are already packaged with the F-35 aircraft by the developer. It's activated by using the payload menu. If you add a specific payload weight to each station, the aircraft will display the weapons model. But this is packaged together with the F-35. It's not applicable to other aircraft if those aircraft developer don't have the weapons packaged along with them as well, or if they don't display the weapons the same way as Indiafoxtecho did.
All I did in this mod was to apply the weapons weight as the default weight of the aircraft (so that you don't have to manually add them via the menu every time). I do not change the way the weapons are displayed, nor I'm sharing the weapons model themselves. These are done by the original developers themselves. If your other aircraft developers doesn't have them, my method won't work.

Which version of the F-35 is this version compatible with?
It should be version 1.1.4 as written in the changelog. I always try to keep this mod's version to be identical with the original F-35 version numbers.

Thank you. This is nice enhancement. However, the F-35B wont hover unless MAX TO weight is less than 39k lbs. This mode works great for me on the A and C model, but I have to manually change weight for the B version to get it under 39K lbs. Is there a weigh for this mod to make the weight appropriate for the B model or can I change it such that this mod only works for A and C version?
I think that question should be posted directly to indiafoxtecho instead. They're the one who coded the weight and how they behave in relation to the Hover mode and how the weapons appear. This mod only sets those default weight values, that's it. It doesn't change anything when it comes to the aircraft behaviour or the weapons appearances. Those are managed by the default aircraft even without this mod.
So even if you don't have this mod installed, if you manually add the same weapons payload weight onto the default F-35B to make the weapons appear, you would still get the same issue with not being able to hover anyway. So it's really not within the scope of this mod.
That being said, though. I do think it's kind of realistic in a way, I don't think most F-35 pilots take off using hover mode. STO is usually the way to go, right? And hover is usually just for landing purposes, which at the end of every mission, you should have low enough fuel that even if you never used any of the weapons, the total Gross Weight would still be under the limit that allows hovering.
Either that, or you have to remove some weapons out, maybe the one inside the weapons bay. But the drawback is, you're not fully armed in that case. And if that's an issue, then only the original developer indiafoxtecho can fix it in the aircraft itself. But I doubt it. If they're working based on the real technical specification of the aircraft, then that's how it is in real life I guess.

BTW it works on the marketplace version. i bought it from the msfs marketplace and the mod works excelently. is there a version for the eurofighter typhoon for f22 raptor?
I guess what I've done in this mod kind of overrides the logic placed in the marketplace version.
Just to note, though. This mod doesn't "add" weapon models into the aircraft. The logic to make the weapons appear is actually coming from the aircraft and the original developer themselves. Even without this mod, if you manually add the payload weights in the payload screen, it will appear (for the non-marketplace version). So this mod only changes these values so that payload weight is already entered when you load the aircraft the first time, all the time. That's it. And the aircraft logic itself takes over to render the weapons. That's why this mod is so light, it's just a text file that you installed into the sim telling it how much payload weight to put, and the original logic from the aircraft takes over.
So it depends if the Eurofighter or the F-22 uses the same logic. If they don't ship their aircraft with any weapons included at all, then there's nothing I can do about it. I can't add something that isn't there. If they use the same logic as the F-35 to render the weapons using the default MSFS payload screen, then theoretically that can be done. But since I don't have the Eurofighter nor the F-22 on my list. There's nothing I can do about it.

This worked beautiful with v. 1.0.8 but does not work with the latest update from Indiafoxtecho v. 1.0.9
2 years ago
Really? I just updated this mod using with the v.1.0.9 file. Did you also use the latest update for LordFrites' improvement mod? If so, you might need to fully uninstall the previous version first before installing the updated one.
Working on v.1.0.8 but not with v1.0.9 doesn't make sense though. This mod will always override on top of whichever base indiafoxtecho version that you have. It should either work on both versions or doesn't work at all.

good!this is what i looking for!are u will have f-15,f-16 version Default Weapons Payload??
No.. I don't have F-15 and F-16 in my collection. So I can't make them. Besides, it only works if the aircraft already have the same system, where if you manually add the weapons payload, the weapons will appear. Since I don't have them, I don't know if they'll work.
In the F-35 case, the weapons are already included from the developer. I just make them appear by default. I didn't add or remove any weapon models.

Maybe I'm an anomaly, but somehow with my Marketplace bought F-35 I can still get weapons working. Not sure how, but not complaining! Bought it before finding out about the weapon restrictions.

Maybe LordFrites' mod made the weapons available to marketplace versions? I'm not sure, but glad you can get them.

Awesome little mod that makes it sooo much easier to choose your loadout on any of the F35's. Thank you very much for making this and sharing with us!

Great Mod, mine works only with the B version only, A and C still remain as default 200 lbs for pilot and 1lbs for catapult, the rest are all at 0. One note I may add, I am using as well the better cameras mod and the military green mod, not sure if those mods could affect the A and C to reset to default somehow.
Thanks, when you installed this mod, does it ask you to replace 3 files? Because there's 1 for each A, B, and C variant respectively. I'll check with the military weapons mod as well. I'm planning to use that one too anyway.
