Coastal world tour entirely traversing the planets coastlines clockwise starting in NZ.
The course will traverse the navigatable coastline of every continent as close as reasonably possible, making trans-oceanic trips only when necessary.
All plans are set as low altitude airways with ILS where available.
The only restriction on stage length is how long I can be bothered flying on the day I make that particular plan :-)
Stage 6 is Perth to Bali.
Stage 7 is Bali to Kualanamu.
Stage 8 is Kualanamu to Calcutta.
Stage 9 is Calcutta to Sri Lanka.
Stage 10 is Sri Lanka to Mumbai.
I flew Perth to Bali IRL in a C172! Went from Jandakot (YJPT), Meekatharra for fuel (YMEK), then up to Port Hedland (YPPD) for the night. The next day was just a quick trip, over the water, direct to Broome (YBRM).
The third day was a long day. Cleared customs in Broome, over the horizontal waterfalls and up to Truscot Mangalalu (YTST). Refuelled and then headed over the water to Kupang Eltari (WATT).
The final day was west over Waingapu (WATU) on Sumba Island and up to the southern coasts of West Nusa Tengarra and Lombok islands and then west to Bali, all at 2000' due to winds. After submitting a new flight plan we then headed west around the island to the small Lt Col Wisnu Airport in Banjuwedang.
An epic trip indeed! 24 hours of flying time altogether!
