Project Seethrew

Project Seethrew was conceptualized by WombiiActual (if it were not for Wombiis genius brain and endless research - this would have never been possible) and Chunky of the Flight Simulator Thunderbirds as a way to foster more involvment and growth in the virtual formation/airshow community - for over a year there have been issues with native GLTF files having a 'fading' effect and ultimately disspearing when bounding spheres merged. Well, today, that is fixed in a way that prevents massive performance loss and allows for the wingmen to fly nearly 18 inches from the lead aircraft while still being visible to the flight leader.

Description

Properly working formation fading / vanishing fix for default F/A-18. This addon adds an extra final LOD dummy model with a smaller visual size which decreases the close formation clipping distance. Installation: Drop folder into your Community folder. No replacement of default files necessary!)

Compatibility: This addon is only compatible with the current version of the default F/A-18. We intend to bring this to all of the most popular formation airplanes in MSFS over the coming weeks (as voted on in the Flight Simulator Thunderbirds Discord).

Future of Project Seethrew

 We plan to bring this fix to most of the default aircraft that would typically be used for formation flying as well as most third party aircraft that would typically be used for formation flying.
